1962
Established by the Dawood Foundation as a college of engineering and technology serving Karachi's industrial expansion.
1964
Chemical, Electronic and Industrial engineering programs admit their inaugural cohorts.
1977
The college is brought under the Government of Sindh and affiliated with NED University for degree award.
2013
Elevated to Dawood University of Engineering & Technology through an act of the Sindh Assembly.
2019
All engineering programs migrate to Outcome Based Education under PEC Accreditation Manual Level-II.
2026
Unified SSO across admissions, semester services, OBE and library systems.
